Program Details

Bonus Rate: You (the sponsor) earn 15% of the reward points your referrals earn each hour. This is a bonus on top of their earnings — nothing is taken from your referrals. This rate is adjustable by pool admins.
Points Only: Affiliate bonuses are reward points only. They do not affect BTC block rewards, payouts, or pool fees.
How Referrals Are Linked: When someone visits your referral link (hmpool.io?ref=YOUR-CODE), they're tagged in their browser. When they enter their BTC address to check stats or start mining, the referral is permanently linked. The referred miner does not need to create an affiliate account — they just need to mine.
One Referrer Per Miner: Each miner can only be referred once. The first valid referral link wins.
Hourly Calculation: Affiliate points are calculated every hour alongside regular reward points. If your referral mines for an hour and earns 12 points, you (the sponsor) earn 1.80 bonus points.
Monthly Draw Entries: Affiliate points contribute to your total monthly points, which means more draw entries for you.
No Limits: There is no cap on how many miners you can refer or how many affiliate points you can earn.

Security & Your PIN

No Email Required: Your account is secured with your Bitcoin address + a 4-digit PIN. No email, no password, no personal information.
PIN Is Hashed: Your PIN is stored as a one-way hash. Nobody — including pool operators — can see your PIN.
Change PIN: You can change your PIN at any time from the dashboard (requires your current PIN).
Lost PIN: If you lose your PIN, the only option is to lock your old account and create a new one. All accumulated affiliate points and existing referral links on the old account are permanently forfeited.
One Active Account: You can only have one active affiliate account per Bitcoin address. Locked accounts cannot be reactivated through self-service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be actively mining to be an affiliate?

You need to have at least one submitted share on the pool to create an account. After that, your referral link works whether or not you're currently mining.

Do affiliate points count toward the monthly prize draw?

Affiliate points are tracked separately but contribute to your overall standing. The pool may incorporate them into draw eligibility at its discretion.

What happens to my referrals if I lose my PIN and create a new account?

Existing referral links stay with the locked account. They do not transfer. You'll need to share your new referral link to build up referrals on the new account.

Can I refer myself or my own addresses?

No. The system prevents a miner from being referred by their own address.

Does the referred miner need to sign up for anything?

No. The referred miner just needs to click your link and then start mining. They don't need to create an affiliate account or do anything special. They earn their normal points as usual.

How long does the referral tag last?

The referral tag is stored in the visitor's browser until they check their stats or clear their browser storage. There's no expiration.

Is there a minimum payout for affiliate points?

Affiliate points follow the same rules as regular reward points. They accumulate monthly and are used for draw entries and rankings.
